Insurance Coverage

I am currently providing for the following insurance companies:

Medicare (Part B)
OptumHealth - United Healthcare (Non-Medicare Advantage)
Tricare - Non-Network Certified Provider (Use your in network benefits)

Many people have insurance with out-of-network benefits. I do provide with most insurances that have out-of-network benefits with mental health coverage. Please contact your insurance company for the details of your specific plan.

My services usually are reimbursable through Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA). You will need to file an invoice with them, which I am happy to provide you with. Please check with them about any special forms you may need.

Insurance plans vary widely. Two people with the same insurance company can have very different coverage. I always recommend that you call your insurance company and inquire about your coverage prior to your first appointment. Be sure to ask what your benefits are, if you have a deductible, if you need an authorization, and what your co-pays or coinsurance would be per session. I accept cash or checks, will file your insurance for you, and unless we have discussed it, expect your part of the payment at the time of service.

A regular 45-50 minute session is $150.00. Longer or shorter sessions are available, as needed.

Email and Texting Policies

About Email and Texting

I do not email and text with my patients because I do not believe that these communication methods protect your confidentiality.  We have all come to depend on texting and email and it is an added effort to place phone calls, but I believe it is worth it as it increases your privacy. Please leave me a confidential phone message at (305) 238-9855 and I will return your call as soon as I can.

I usually return phone calls on the same business day. However, I am not in the office on Monday, so if it isn't a clinical emergency, you might not hear from me until Tuesday.
